Are you purchasing User Migration Bundles per mailbox without first accounting for shared mailboxes that still consume a UMB?

MigrationWiz licensing is based on User Migration Bundles: one UMB per destination mailbox. Even though shared mailboxes under 50GB do not need an Exchange Online Plan license in the destination tenant, MigrationWiz still requires a UMB to migrate them.

When I reconciled 300 email accounts across two acquisition migrations, we had to identify every mailbox object type before buying a single license. User mailboxes, shared mailboxes, room mailboxes, and equipment mailboxes all come with different licensing implications in MigrationWiz.

The budget-killer mistake is familiar: a team exports an Active Directory user count, buys that many UMBs, and then discovers 40 shared mailboxes that were not included in the AD export. Now you need approval for 40 additional UMBs after the budget is already signed off.
