Have you ever tried to run your identity migration after your M365 cutover and watched users lose access for 48 hours?
I ran M365, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint migrations simultaneously with SSO and Azure tenant migrations; all within the same acquisition program. Azure AD object migrations ran alongside server and file server migrations in the same engagement.
The reason parallel execution is mandatory: M365 workloads depend on identity. If your Entra ID object migration is 3 days behind your mailbox cutover, users in the new tenant have accounts without the group memberships that drive their permissions. They can log in and access nothing.
The AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) and AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) credentials I hold both cover Entra ID architecture extensively. The exam content is useful context.
The actual production experience of running both tracks simultaneously is what makes the difference.
How are you coordinating your Entra ID migration timeline against your M365 workload schedule?
