Microsoft Teams migration through MigrationWiz behaves differently from mailbox migration. The data structures are different, the throttling behavior is different, and the post-migration validation looks nothing like what you do for Exchange.

In the past, I migrated Teams workloads as part of both acquisition migration programs. Teams was always run in sequence with M365 and OneDrive, not as a standalone job.

The reason: Teams channel files live in SharePoint document libraries, so if your SharePoint migration and your Teams migration aren’t coordinated, you’ll get channels that appear migrated with zero file content.

The validation step that catches this is checking the SharePoint site collection that backs each migrated Team, not just the Teams client. Most after migration checklists miss that connection entirely.
