Has a MigrationWiz project been cancelled after UMB licenses were assigned, only to discover later that those licenses do not automatically return to your balance?

BitTitan User Migration Bundle licenses are consumed when assigned to users within a project. Once you create the project, upload the user list, and apply UMBs to accounts, those licenses are tied to that project and those users. If the project is cancelled midstream, the UMBs do not automatically revert back to your BitTitan account for reuse.

Recovering those licenses requires a support ticket. Typically, you must first deactivate the affected users inside the cancelled project before BitTitan can transfer the UMBs to a different project. Eligibility depends on whether migration jobs ran for those accounts and how many passes have been executed.

This becomes especially important in acquisition scenarios where deal timelines change after IT has already started building the MigrationWiz project. Creating the project and assigning UMBs before the acquisition closes can become a real budget risk if the deal terms shift or the timeline slips.
