Are you migrating a regulated industry client with BitTitan without first confirming where BitTitan stores migration metadata?
BitTitan migration platform processes and temporarily stores migration metadata such as account information, job status details, and error logs within BitTitan cloud infrastructure. The residency region for that metadata is set at the BitTitan account level, and it defaults to a BitTitan-selected region unless you configure it.
For healthcare organizations subject to HIPAA, financial institutions operating under GDPR or SOC 2 requirements, or government contractors with data sovereignty obligations, the default region may not meet compliance needs. The account-level data residency setting should be reviewed and set before any projects are created under the account.
BitTitan also publishes details on data processing and residency options. The BitTitan Master Subscription Agreement and Data Processing Addendum outline what data BitTitan processes, how it is stored, and how long it is retained after a project completes.
For compliance-sensitive migration programs, that review should occur before signing the BitTitan contract, not after the first project is already in place.
Have you reviewed BitTitan data residency options and configured the account-level setting before creating projects for regulated industry clients?
