OneDrive Known Folder Move is a configuration option that redirects the Windows Desktop, Documents, and Pictures folders to sync to OneDrive for Business instead of local storage. Users with KFM configured store files in their OneDrive that they may not realize are there, and files on the local Desktop and Documents folders that appear local are actually in the OneDrive sync path.

For BitTitan OneDrive migration, this means the source OneDrive personal site contains more content than users typically expect. A user who says they have a few documents in OneDrive may actually have 20GB of Desktop and Documents folder content that KFM has been syncing for years.

The KFM content migrates through BitTitan OneDrive migration jobs the same as manually placed OneDrive content. But it affects the mailbox size estimate, the migration timeline, and the post-cutover OneDrive configuration in the destination tenant.
